Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kaithal was established in 1992 under the aegis of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. This Kendra was allotted 50 acres of land by Gram Panchayat Devigarh for its establishment and conductance of adaptive research trials on various aspects of agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, home science, agro forestry etc. for the benefit of various sections of rural and urban society. The KVK farm is located 110 kms far from the main campus on National Highway-65 on Peoda Road in the revenue estate of village Devigarh near Kaithal. Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an innovative science based institution which undertakes vocational training for farmers, farm women and unemployed rural youths, conducts 'On Farm Research' for technology refinement and front line demonstrations to properly demonstrate the latest agricultural technologies to the farmers as well as to the extension workers. The KVK functions on the principles of collaborative participation of subject-matter specialists, extension workers and farmers. To reduce the time lag between the generation of technologies and their transfer to the farmers through the application of science and technology KVK works on the principle of "Teaching and learning by doing".
