Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an innovative science based institution which undertakes vocational trainings for farmers, farm women and unemployed rural youths, conducts location specific On Farm Research for technology refinement and front line demonstrations to properly demonstrate the latest agricultural technologies to the farmers as well as to the extension workers. The KVK functions on the principles of collaborative participation of subject-matter specialists, extension workers and farmers. To reduce the time lag between the generation of technologies and their transfer to the farmers through the application of science and technology. KVK works on the principle of "Teaching and learning by doing".
