Statistical consultancy regarding planning, experimental layout, analysis and interpretation of data to the students, scientists and researchers in the university.

Major Contributions :

Awards and Achievements: 

Dr.L.S.Kaushik was felicitated with Jawahar Lal Nehru Award in 1984 by ICAR for postgraduate research work.

Dr. R.C. Hasija was awarded one year DAAD fellowship in 1985 to work at University of Dortmund, West Germany.

Dr.Lajpat Rai was awarded fellowship by FAO for three months and visited University of Saskachewon, Canada in 1998.

Mrs. Asha Ahuja was awarded FAO fellowship for three months and she visited Cornell University, New York, USA, 2000.

Dr. Deepak Grover was awarded fellowship by Israel Govt. and CUSAC(UK).

Dr(Mrs) Urmil Verma was awarded DAAD fellowship under German Academic Exchange program during 2003-04 and 2006-07 and she visited Giessen University, Germany (three months each). During 2008-09, she visited University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart,Germany for three months under INSA-DFG fellowship, Bilateral Exchange Programme.

Dr.B.K.Hooda was awarded Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship-2007. He visited the University of Leeds (UK) for six months from Sept.2007 to March, 2008.

Software, Statistical Package for Mating Designs (SPMD) by L.S. Kaushik, D.R. Aneja and O.P. Sheoran, copyright given by National Research Development Corporation, New Delhi in 2005.

Nisha Malik, M.Sc. student of the department won 2nd prize for On the Spot Essay Writing Competition organized by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation for the years 2005-06 and 2006-07.

Two students of this department, Ms Richa Sharma and Sh Deepak Singh have been selected as scientists in ASRB.

o        43rd Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics from 18.12.1989 to 20.12.1989.

o        1st Annual Conference of the Society of Statistics, Computer and Applications and two symposia on statistics i.e., Improving crop strains through breeding and Computer in Research and Development from 23.10.98 to 25.10.98.

o        Training program on Use of Statistical Methods in Agriculture in collaboration with AAREM for scientists from ICAR Institutes and SAUs (28 days from 19.1.2000 to15.2.2000).

o       Training program on Design and Analysis of Field Experiments in collaboration with AAREM (28 days from 17.10.2000 to 13.11.2000).

o       Dissemination workshop on Mating Designs sponsored by ICAR (3 days from 28.10.03 to 30.10.03).
