Activities
of the Department
(1) The
Dept. offers eight UG courses in English to the
students of COA, Hisar, COA Kaul, COHS, COAE and VLD
section of COVS
(2)
The Dept. offers a PG course PGS-502 in Technical
Writing to all the PG students of CCS HAU.
(3)
The Hindi Section offers Hindi-1 course for foreign
students of CCS HAU
(4)
The Dept. has been running two PG Diploma courses
since 2002 :
(a)
PG
Diploma in Communication Skills in English- 20
seats.
(b) PG Diploma in English-Hindi Translation - 20
seats.
(5)
The Dept. conducts training programmes on
Communication Skills in English in collaboration
with the Directorate of HRM for scientists/
teachers/employees of CCS HAU.
(6)
The Dept. also conducts training programmes on
Communication Skills and Personality Development in
collaboration with the Directorate of Students’
Welfare for students of CCS HAU.
(7)
Translation service to the Administration &
consultancy are also provided by the faculty as and
when required.
(8)
The faculty guides the students for literary and
cultural activities in collaboration with DSW and
Cultural Forum of COBS&H.
(9)
The Dept. organizes quiz and declamation contests
from time to time to promote Haryanvi Culture.
(10) The
faculty members take care of the college magazine.
